Advent

I love this time of year!  Once the advent calendar’s out I really start to feel Christmassy.  It’s lovely.  And I feel alright to start playing the carols… not many, not often, just now and again to cheer up these dark, dank, drippy freezy days. 

I’ve got one of those calendars which is fabric, used every year.  It has rows of red stockings, and Father Christmas pulling his sleigh at the top.  My mum fills it with surprise sweets.  I love it.

If you haven’t got one of these, get one!  It’s more special than those cardboard ones you can pick up anywhere.  Here’s a few of my faves:
