I absolutely adore these Marie-Antoinette-esque photographs by Jimmy Backius.  The mood is just perfect!  Frothy and fun and carefree… See the rest of his work here and here.  It’s well worth a look in – all of it’s wonderful.

    Absolutely stunning! I love his editorials! I hosted a wig themed party for my bday a few months back and I went as Marie Antoinette, so really drawn to your post! Thanks for sharing! x

    Yes, thanks so much for sharing those photos Fran! I went on his website and the rest of his photos in that collection are incredible too. He’s got an amazing way of bringing softness and light to his photos. Really inspiring! I too, love anything to do with Marie Antoinette and that era. I saw on a documentary that pparently she never said “let them eat cake”, it was supposed to be propaganda.. x
