sisters & sparrows

Poetry. Photography. Life.

Well the wedding was beautiful.  Unfortunately the hydrangeas had died and were taken out of her bouquet but other than that everything was gorgeous.  We all had a brilliant time; it felt very family-ish and fun.  The most hilarious part of the reception was after the speeches, when the bride’s grandad (!!) got up on stage and sang a song he’d written about her only the night before, to the Sinatra tune, ‘I’ll do it my way.’  It was a stroke of genius and had the whole room in fits.  What was great was that the couple were so obviously loved and supported by everyone there – the wedding could have been held in a stable and still would have had that brilliant atmosphere.

Almost makes me want to get married!
